Sunny and warm Edinburgh

Posted by: jamiebrammer In: Family and friends| UK

Just got back from a surprisingly warm weekend in Edinburgh. Well over 20 degrees Friday to Monday and sunny all the time - the city really does look good like that. Thanks to Mum, Dad and everyone else.

Aksel - 8.5 months… a trip around town.

Went for a walk today (Ascension day is a holiday in Denmark); great weather and lots to see. Here’s the photos.

Aksel around 8 months and a trip to the zoo

Posted by: jamiebrammer In: Family and friends

Well we’ve been to the zoo today and Aksel has had a pretty good time - though he probably enjoyed the children (Copenhagen Zoo on a Sunday has more kids than animals) more. Here’s a few photos from the last couple of weeks.

Aksel @ 7.5 months

Posted by: jamiebrammer In: Family and friends

Here’s the latest photos… really starting to enjoy himself this week. Lots of ‘creeping’ around the house (not true crawling). Plenty of shouting at inanimate objects (such as his parents). Eating lots of good mushy food and little bits of bread with butter.

So here’s some more updates on the wee man. He’s now just over 7 months and had a very happy day in late March - his ‘naming party’.

Australia 2009 - week 3

Posted by: jamiebrammer In: Travel

So we’re finally home - Aksel had a really good trip again, better than us at least. He fell asleep yesterday and 3pm and woke at midnight so we’ve got a job to do there, fortunately we weren’t much different which is why I’m writing this at 5am.

We’ve taken lots of video and will hopefully find time to put it together - but it’s a bit trickier than uploading to Picasa so could be a week or two.

In the meantime here’s the pictures from the last week or so of the trip… Brisbane, Kangaroo Island, Great Ocean Road, Melbourne….

Australia 2009 - week 2

Posted by: jamiebrammer In: Travel

So we’ve now moved on from Coffs Harbour, which quite honestly isn’t worth visiting. We moved on for 4 days at the much more welcoming Byron Bay - a good combination of hippie tree huggers, backpackers and yuppies. Great beaches - even Aksel took a swim. More snakes up in the Nightcap national park. Nice hinterland towns at Bangalow and Mullumbimby.

We’re now in Brisbane with Tim and Nicola - staying in their great apartment near the river in Brisbane’s yuppie land. Very smart.

Tomorrow we’re off to Kangaroo Island (and we’ll hopefully see some Kangaroos and Koalas).

And one more thing Aksel turned 6 months yesterday, he was asleep for the champagne and cake.

Anyhow here’s the photos from the last few days…

Australia 2009 - first week

Posted by: jamiebrammer In: Travel

So we’ve been here a week now and this is the first internet for about 6 days. Life is good without it.

We’ve travelled up from Sydney towards Brisbane and are currently in Byron Bay - a famous hippy hangout and laid back beach town. Other places we visited were Myall Lakes and Coffs Harbour. Some good sightseeing on the way - the rainforests at Dorrigo a big highlight - mainly for the snake.

Weather great - a wee bit hot for babs perhaps. Is 32 today and they have to cool the pools here.

Anyway here’s the photos so far…

And the snake…
